Processi di significazione ed embodied identity nell'educazione dell'infanzia

I bambini affermano agency e appartenenza non solo con le parole, ma anzitutto attraverso il corpo. Nei servizi educativi per l’infanzia, infatti, l’identità non è semplicemente espressa dal corpo, ma costituta da esso. Questo contributo discute la formazione identitaria nelle scuole dell’infanzia basandosi sull’approccio prasseologico delle “prospettive dei bambini” (Nentwig-Gesemann et al., 2020), qui riletto attraverso una duplice lente teorica: la teoria del sé sociale di Mead (2015) e la embodied cognition di Gallagher (2023). A partire da osservazioni condotte in alcune scuole dell’infanzia in Alto Adige, lo studio esamina come il movimento libero e risky play, il gioco del travestimento e l’esplorazione sensoriale — modellati dallo spazio fisico e dalla co-costruzione delle regole — permettano ai bambini di negoziare agency, appartenenza e posizionamento sociale attraverso la pratica corporea. In questa prospettiva, l’identità non è un attributo fisso da acquisire progressivamente, bensì un processo situato ed embodied: qualcosa che i bambini già sono, continuamente diventano e dentro cui crescono in relazione al proprio contesto. Il lavoro si conclude delineando principi trasferibili per progettare ambienti multimodali, orientati al movimento e partecipativi, suggerendo che condotte spesso etichettate come «problematiche» — quali la corsa, la sfida ai limiti e l’esuberanza fisica — vadano rilette come il lavoro identitario in atto dei bambini.Riferimenti bibliografici
