Impatto del Service Learning sulla prevenzione dell’abbandono scolastico precoce

L’articolo esplora il ruolo cruciale del Service Learning (SL) nella prevenzione dell’abbandono scolastico precoce (ESL) attraverso una revisione sistematica di tipo descrittivo. Gli studi esaminati suggeriscono che i programmi di Service Learning possano avere un impatto positivo sulla permanenza scolastica e sulla frequenza, in particolare per gli studenti a rischio. Tuttavia, la relazione tra Service Learning e il miglioramento della frequenza o della permanenza scolastica appare complessa: alcuni studi evidenziano miglioramenti diretti, mentre altri rilevano un aumento dell’engagement o della motivazione a restare a scuola. Inoltre, resoconti qualitativi provenienti da diversi studi mettono in luce un incremento della motivazione degli studenti, dell’integrazione sociale e dell’autoefficacia scolastica come fattori che favoriscono un coinvolgimento scolastico duraturo.
